Hi All,
Earlier today we released a few mobile updates. Here's what's new:
Member listing and Profile pages
You can now create a Members page in the Mobile section of your dashboard to list your members and allow them to be searched. Members also have profile pages with profile answers and a comment wall.
Photo Swiping
Navigate to see next and previous photos in the photos section by swiping left and right.
Updates to Liking
We've made the Like action happen when you click the like icon, and have added a section in detail pages where you can see a list of people who have liked an item.
Self-Serve Opt-in
If you're not running the alpha on your network but want to try it out, you can turn it on yourself. Just visit:
http://yournetwork.com/main/admin/setMobileVersion
(replace yournetwork.com with the address for your network. Select Mobile 2.0 instead of Mobile 1.0 in the dropdown and click Update Mobile Version.
We're working towards graduating the alpha to Ning Labs, and would love your feedback on what we've built so far.

Permalink Reply by Julie Hochstadter on May 3, 2012 at 4:52pm I thought we couldn't turn off the mobile view. How do we do that for now (until events are included for my network)?

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on May 3, 2012 at 4:57pm the same way you turned it on it says right in the original post
go to yoursite/main/admin/setMobileVersion and reset to mobile1.0
Permalink Reply by Julie Hochstadter on May 3, 2012 at 4:51pm Yes, I REALLY need events!!!!
Permalink Reply by AMZ on April 25, 2012 at 12:10pm Ok i want to say is ning going to allow us to send messages to other uses and maybe even add some type of chat on mobile. The thing about mobile is that it shouldn't be the watered down version of a site it should be the ON THE GO version of a site. On facebook they allow you to chat and send messages we should have something just like that. If you can send a comment on mobile why not allow people to send a message.
Hi Bousal,
Follow the instructions under "Self-Serve Opt-in" above.

Fire up your smartphone and browse to your network. If you don't have a smartphone, you can visit yournetwork.com/m to get an idea of what it looks like.
