Hello, I'm doing my PhD about social networks at Newcastle university, seeking the main motivations to join a niche social network. I am kindly asking to complete this survey and specially, share it to the members of your network.

Some constructive feedback - the design of your survey is really off putting. I'm at 83% but life is too short to click through dozens and dozens of drop down boxes to complete the page I exited on.  I think this design will have a detrimental impact on your data collection. You would probably have a much better response if you split this up.

Hi Mellon. thanks for your feedback. 

I know that the format is not the best, but in this case I'm restricted by the options of the survey platform, so this was the 'second best' option I had. otherwise, I would have had to duplicate the questionnaire for each group (fb group & niche sns) which would make it eternal. 

I forgot to mention that those that complete the survey, in addition of receiving the report of the study, will enter in the raffle of an Ipod nano (if it helps as motivation :) if not, I'm open to make a raffle only for the ning commuty. What can move you to complete the survey?).

Once again thanks for dedicating time to the survey and the feedback. If tomorrow or the day after you have some spare time and patience, can you give it a go again to the survey?. Every questionnaire completed is a big help and is very much appreciated as well as the time you dedicate to it.

I replied, but I think that instead of FB you have to put "generic sotial network", because I use one but it is not FB.

I have yesterday's files, and there are 2 members so far. I hope it will be more in the next days. In fact if there are more than 40 member of your network (because of the statistical methods I'm using),  I will run all the analysis for your network only, so you can have better insights about it. This analysis is additional to the general report and I can do it for all those interested on it.
