The end of 2012 is closing in fast and it’s been quite the year at NING. Just look at this list of what has been accomplished:

• Activity Feed UI Clean-Up
• RSS Feeds in Network Activity Feed
• Twitter Search in Social Feeds & New Activity Indicator
• Chat Product Finalization and Updates.
• Improved Member Management Interface
• Top News added to Latest Activity Feed

And big decisions:

• Changes to the NING Mini Plan
• Creators Digest is now Every Other Week
• Ning Creators Gets a MakeOver
• Updated Ning logo in network footer

• Removal of Networks that Never Purchased a NING Plan

Wow, that’s quite a bit of success for this year! Good job NING!

Well the Roadmap still has some items on it and whether or not they will be finished before the year-end we are unaware, but that can’t stop us from wishing away for 2013! What would you love to see developed on NING in 2013 in addition to what’s on the current Roadmap?

My Dreams:

• On-Site Notifications – Similar concept to Facebook
• Profile Page update – Make it look more classy, sleek, and new layout options.
• Friends only activity feed
• Updated Photo and Video player so they can be accessed via mobile

This is probably doable. Jen has a tip where you can add stuff at the end of all forum discussions.

I've adapted it to display a red line below every post. I'm sure some code wizard here or at Jen Social could add a copyright notice using the member's handle under blogs, photos and vids.

I like the idea of a banner rotator/ad server kind of thing, as well as a point system ( a la karma on reddit).  At the very least, the ability to like an individual post instead of a whole discussion.

Is there a public repository or a bug tracker for Ning where we can all input these suggested feature requests and/or bugs?  I feel that reading these feature requests will be very time consuming for anyone to read the post and there is no direct input from Ning whether they are going to take the suggestion or not.

Hey, Alex. We have our own bug-tracking system where we track bugs and feature requests. We read every request posted here on Creators, but we don't respond to every post. But I try to respond to a number of them. I pass some requests along to the product team (and to the rest of the company). To be frank, there are thousands of requests voiced each year, but only a small number will be implemented. We are committed to listening, though.

Good thing these requests are digital and not submitted via paper forms. You guys would have an overflowing archive center lol. NING's got good ears, they tend to pick the best options :) 2013 should be quite a good year!
