Ning Google SEO

Hi - we launched http://www.bbqbackyard.com a few weeks ago - its going great, 1000+ members, great activity - we've got good coverage on google in a short time - 1,900 pages indexed - but the click through is not good - maybe 30 a day from google - any hints on how to improve my Ning friends? Any other SEO advice? Thanks!

Our SEO used to be good.

I've noticed it has gone down a ton.

Anyone else noticing this?

We have a 3 year old site with 4950 members and at peak months were receiving 44,000 hits.

So no one has had issues with their networks on a google search? We used to be so high up there, now we often aren't even on the first page. Is it our network only?

I love Ning - I'm just wanting some guidance - I've launched a lot of wordpress sites with great indexing, it is almost as Ning sites are disfavored by Google - just wanting some guidance from others. Its been a HUGE success, just know from experience it could be better. Thanks to Julie and others!

I have discovered that google search has little to do with keywords because links are more important. The question becomes how does 1 establish links in order to rank higher via the keyword search?
