NING LOGIN / EXTERNAL SITE LOGIN

Hey guys,

I'm new to ning and need some help... One our clients has a network on ning and want to integrate the login process, is anything like this possible?

Their intention is to once a user authenticates in their site, he's also authenticated in the their NING Network, and the way back to.

This work just landed on my table, please help me out here... Thanks!

Yea you can use the api feature and create a SSO "Signal Sign On" But not this they must have a Ning Pro account

Hi, Bernardo. A true single sign-in solution isn't something we currently offer. Those types of solutions can be complicated and often require some amount of custom work. That said, we do have an API that might be usable for what you propose, although it won't allow you to create new users in our system at this point in time. Most people rely on email invitations.

Hi Eric - I'm a marketing person and am having trouble understanding the restrictions/limitations on the Ning API/SSO/Network ID.

As a software company, we have a learning management system (LMS) we would like our customers on our community to be able to access without having to log into the LMS first. Is it possible to pass information this way?

Is there a blog post/product announcement you can point me to that outlines what the possibilities/limitations are? (I've tried searching this network/the website and could only find info from <2010.
