Ning mobile is horribly crippled

When is Ning going to make a halfway-decent mobile view?  There should be no reason for excluding the majority of my pages on my menubar in the mobile view.  There have been requests to fix this for years; am I honestly expected to believe that ning is still "working on this"?  Or should I just tell my inquiring mobile customers that they're SOL?

We really just need to be able to see all the tabs that should be present in the top menu, so mobile users can at least navigate our site.

In most cases, even with an updated version, you won't see all of the tabs in the form that you have them on your site. Some of this has to do with the features that are available and that will work well via mobile (things like Ning Apps will not be there for example) and some of it is related to display issues caused by the restrictions inherent in a mobile version. The current mobile version does have an opt-out though so that you can see the regular web version on your mobile, and the new one will make this even more obvious.

The problem was I just clicked in a link through an email reply, which put me into the regular site as opposed to the mobile site. So it seems the issue is that it doesn't detect mobile if you are linked directly to a thread. One issue still with the mobile version is that you reply doesn't wrap as you type, it is just one looooooong scrolling line, which makes it hard to follow your own typing...

My problem is that I am losing revenue since a significant percentage of my members and visitors access my site on their mobile phone.  And, even the standard version of ning does not display Google Contextual Ads; therefore, I lose a potential revenue opportunity whenever someone accesses my site using a cell or smartphone.

Duh! I found me a solution. I signed up with GoGetMobi and in less than an hour I had a mobile version of my site with Google ads up and running. It was that easy.

The first months service is free. It will be $7.50 per month going forward.

My only concern so far the Group link does not work on my Windows phone.

Diane- we were just searching for info on this. Does Ning Chat work on the Kindle Fire? I haven't been able to find a definite answer to that question.
