it says that you can map two domains, does this mean- when i map 2 domains for one network, the content of one domain/site will automatically update with the content of the other site - or what does it means exactly ?

Yes, this is the same. They will be both pointing to your network.

when one site updates, the other updates too? and all links shows accordingly like :

domain1.com/events/etc

domain2.com/events/etc
