I know i am not the only one seeing this but ning pro is too expensive , we can not make that money to pay for . There is no profit us ning platform , Ning should partner with google so that any video upload in to our network our google adsense would automatically added so we can make some money . As far as i can see ning is not helping us creators make money they are only thinking about them selves . i guarantee you that every one using ning platform is not making any money to pay for there network , they are only doing it because they love the idea of having a website .

Permalink Reply by Shawn on October 20, 2011 at 9:17pm I think overall we are getting a good deal. I say that because if your not a webdesigner than this is the best thing for you. I paid to have a custom boxing website that almost cost me $1,500. It didn't work out for me. I then came to ning and only have to pay $60 a month. That is only $720 a year. So I hustled hard and found a company that pays me for page impressions and not clicks. Now my website pays for it'self. Just my opinion. I see where you are coming from though.
i must say this is very interesting , eric are you ok man ?

Permalink Reply by Starrfire Price on October 21, 2011 at 6:48pm A social network is about building, it doesn't happen overnight but making money can happen, with time and work. I've been with Ning for 4 years and they offer an excellent platform for the money. It's not Ning's job to make us money, it's our job to make our sites successful; which will equate to income. I have almost 40k members and although my site is close to a full time job, it's also producing a decent income. Google adsense is good, I do pretty well each month with them but acquiring your own advertisers and sponsors is vital if you're really wishing to achieve an income with your social network.
Permalink Reply by Owen Lawrence on October 22, 2011 at 4:40am I hear what your saying bro. But first things first you have to spend money to make money. I also run a music site and what helps me the most is getting respect from the artist that I help to promote. Them artist then tell there fans about my site and found out about other artist at the same time.
I have checked out your site and I have to say it looks very busy and unprofessionally but your content is great as there is not many Reggae site out there.
But as I say It Take Money To Make Money bottom line.
Check out my site, any feed back would be great. www.HoodCelebritys.com
Permalink Reply by Alexander on October 23, 2011 at 9:26am We don't use Ning to make money... we don't even cover our costs as we don't get a penny from any of our members, but I would NOT want Google add-sense on our site in any shape of form... that's why we are paying for a pro account... to be ad-free. Therefore, having adverts would make no-sense.
You don't have to pay for a Pro plan to avoid having ads forced on you. The Plus plan also allows you to go ad-free. Main reasons for Pro plan are to have hosted videos, music, API support/access, file manager, and language filter.
The goal of my social network isn't to make money.. The kids on my network couldn't pay me anyway. The goal for me is to connect users, and Ning's service has been a great value for me for that purpose. The moment I monetize my lil niche network is the moment my members will leave. I had two communities for this back in 2008, one was an adult network. When Ning stopped supporting adult networks, I had to find a new solution, and the only options that were close to what Ning offered were all dedicated servers and open source software which is costing me hundreds a month. So I think Ning is an amazing value.
