Been on ning a while and it just hit me, other than chat and stuff there's no emotes to be shared!
How about a design contest to see who can present the best pack of smileycons? Just an idea for 2012!

We have a detailed set of instructions here: http://jqueryhelp.ning.com/forum/topics/try-smileys-version-6-for-the
This is the line that may help you: "NOTE: This code goes in your Custom Code (also know as Analytics) textbox."
The app is javascript, not css, so it goes in the Custom Code box. An easy mistake to make! Just move it to the right box and it should work for you.
Best wishes!

thank you in put the code in the other box like you said, but still does not work :( sorry to be a pain

Permalink Reply by TJ @ jQueryHelp on November 5, 2012 at 12:25pm There are 4 lines to the code. For some reason, only one line is in your custom code box.
You'll find the 4 lines here:

Right under where it says, "Here is the code!"
Not being a pain at all, no problem :-) Sometimes its tricky to mod our Ning sites.
Best wishes!

Permalink Reply by TJ @ jQueryHelp on November 5, 2012 at 1:22pm Looks like you got the smileys working in your chat, and in the comments now too with my free app. Good work! I see all 4 lines of my code in your custom code box now, so I guess all is well.
Have a great day!
