I just got an iPad 3 and found there are no editing toolbars for blogs, discussions, comments or replies...didn't check everything else. I just checked on a friend's iPad 1, and they aren't there on that either.
Am I the first one to report this? Is this something new? Surely this couldn't have been happening since the first iPad came out.

I think that the text editor we use might be able to be upgraded to support this, although I am not certain. It would have to be done with a future update.
Permalink Reply by Steve Cyrkin on June 11, 2012 at 10:58am Thanks, Eric. Please ask for this to be bumped up the update list. I don't care about it for myself, just for my members. They upload a lot of images into discussions.

Hi Steve,
The toolbar won't provide the ability for your members to upload photos on the iPad; that's a restriction imposed on mobile safari unfortunately.
Thanks,
Phil

Permalink Reply by Steve Cyrkin on June 11, 2012 at 3:09pm Eric, that's great news. Thanks for telling me.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on June 11, 2012 at 3:22pm Let's hope we can capitalize on that news and make it happen.
I was just about to go on a trip and take my new iPad3 so that I could carry on adding content to my networks (which are Plus, not Pro, so it's not just a case of using the Wordpress Publisher app and a private blog etc.)
Can anyone suggest a workaround? Is it a case of creating a post in an app like (for example) Blogsy or using a private blog on wordpress.com and the iOS app, and then cutting and pasting the html? Or do I need to go and buy a netbook...lol....?
