I didn't receive email for 9 hours. Did you?
I did some tests: the emails I send are not arriving. Emails are delayed in their routing I guess.

Hey, Ambroise. We've seen a few similar reports. If you, or anyone else, has submitted a ticket and you can share your ticket number with me, I'll try to get them routed to the right people in a speedy manner. Thanks.

Thank's Eric,
I just received an answer from ning help team :
Thanks for contacting us. Our team discovered that one of our mail servers had stopped sending out messages yesterday. We've restarted it, so the backlog of messages on that machine should begin to send out now. You may see instances of duplicate messages.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are investigating the issue so we can prevent it from occurring in the future.

Here it is: Ticket n°00711124

I'm still experiencing the issue.

I am very worried, I am concerned, I am terrified.
My network is completely stopped.
Communication ceased to exist.
Administrator and members can not communicate, among themselves and members also can not communicate.
I need help.
I do not know what to do.

In my case, a barrage of notifications all came in today. I had wondered why activity had been VERY low for the last couple weeks. It would appear that notifications were all held up for quite some time (much more than just a few days). Any more updates????

Hi Eric

I'm a successful retired small businessman. Doesn't mean I was always success when I started,

My concern with Ning is that it is not really responsive to the needs of it's customers.

Your paying clients.

I'm not saying you are 'bad' people.

I've always found the support personnel very helpful within the scope on their job.

Ning started as a freebie then later a paid service. However it seems the culture of the freebie time has continued into the Business Ning.

My reason for saying this is that the response to the requests from many creators who are putting together major Ning Networks are ignored for smaller upgrades.

Examples:

1/Groups; Not able to put into Categories. One network I checked out had over 400 groups. I would hate to be #400. Groups can be used to promote members businesses and activities. Who looks past 20 Groups.

There is a  Creators work around but only for 15 categories.

2/ Blog Posts and Articles: No categories. So unless you know the name of the post it's a bitch trying to find what has been published.

3/ Videos: Same problem.

There are others.

Now we have this 'glitch' with the emails that brought many Networks to a halt. Many are Income producers. Caused by corrupt emails!! 2 hours down time, okay. Two days is a major disaster.

I also know that everyone is working their butts off trying to get this fixed and I think most of us appreciate that.

This is a management issue.

Where's the redundancy.

According to Nings website you have over 45,000 members. That's a lot of us members.

Again, my concern is that the Freebie Ning culture has carried over into the Professional Ning.

Ning has the potential to be a great product and sweep the Network market.

I'm Very supportive of Ning. I've also spent a lot of time and treasure on my Network and am concerned about Nings future existence if it doesn't take a more professional business approach.

As one woman wrote in this thread "I pay for this service, I expect it to be fixed now, not excuses.

This is my expectations as well.

I'm not attacking Ning. Just expressing my concern and observations.

Remember I'm also a member of the Ning team as a Creator.

Hope this helps

Rob

I think it's important for NING to understand that we're not attacking them. I wish for nothing more than NING's success. Their success greatly affects us. The bigger and better they get, the more features we get. I'm rooting for NING.

What might be construed as bashing is nothing more than frustration. There is a huge issue that has to be addressed regarding their notification system. Something needs to change - drastically.
