I didn't receive email for 9 hours. Did you?
I did some tests: the emails I send are not arriving. Emails are delayed in their routing I guess.

then it works
Permalink Reply by Holly Dilatush on May 24, 2012 at 10:31am Just to keep the info going = I DID receive an email notification from our TEST site today.
Someone else had reported that their TEST site was working as well.
Is this a clue for the Ning tech folks?
Why would it work from the test site but not the main site?

Permalink Reply by John Petrowski on May 24, 2012 at 10:32am All I hear is "submit a ticket." I've had a ticket in. The only response was a reply on Wednesday basically saying "all's good - issue fixed." I immediately replied that it's not fixed. That was on Wednesday. No response since. Not sure what good it does to submit a ticket.
Is NING going to commit to working over the weekended if need be to get this fixed? Have affected creators been offered a credit?
Permalink Reply by dex meaans on May 24, 2012 at 10:43am John I hear they will be working over the weekend if needed also the credit thing is basically $2 a day even if they did offer not even worth worrying about.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on May 24, 2012 at 10:44am Hey, John. I know you're angry, but please take our word when we say we are working hard on this issue. We are not sleeping on the job and sipping lattes instead of working as you have previously accused us of doing. We are still working on this issue, and we will reply to everyone personally who submitted a ticket.
Permalink Reply by John Petrowski on May 24, 2012 at 10:55am Eric, you are a total class act and it's hard to see you take the abuse for this. I do not see NING acting like a typical company would in this situation. This is now been an ongoing situation for a month. And when it happens, we're not knocked out for a few hours but a week at a clip.
I have two highly upset sponsors. Thankfully they understand this is not under my control but puts me in a very bad light. My new memberships are down 80% since members refer other members. That has all but stopped since it appears to be a ghost town.
Only a certain percentage (low) punch into the site on a daily basis. My messages to all members IS my business to alert them to key posts, blogs and events on top of sponsor messages.
For a lack of a better phrase - NING is killing my business. Under different circumstances I'd simply leave. That, however, is next to impossible. I'd be starting from scratch and likely have to refund every sponsor. I'm in "NING prison." Every time I hear it's fixed, a week later it's the same issue.
I'm told to submit a ticket. They are largely ignored. I hear it's fixed when it's not. I hear it's a "small problem" then watch creators pile onto this forum with the same issue.
I see no formal message or apology from NING. I see no offers of credits and frankly, it's very low class. The picture NING is painting, whether they realize it or not, is "Listen, just give us your money and if stuff breaks then oh well, we'll get to it eventually." NO service on the entire internet "breaks" like this or this often. Something is drastically wrong.
A lesser person would have gone public with my frustrations to anyone willing to listen - Techcrunch, Mashable, etc...Someone with more time than I have would have already filed a lawsuit. I have significant damages caused by a rather large and ongoing issue without even the common courtesy of an apology or refund by NING. Again - classless. If I ran my business like this, I'd be operating the sour cream gun at Taco Bell by now.
