I didn't receive email for 9 hours. Did you?
I did some tests: the emails I send are not arriving. Emails are delayed in their routing I guess.

Worked for me. I turned off the email digest and a "test" message broadcast I did earlier came through. Then I just shared a blog post and it went through to everyone.
Turned off email digest hours ago. I have had email verification turned off for days because I realized this was happening again. Nothing yet. I will post another update to my ticket.... sigh
I am sort of happy to report that I have received over 700 emails during the past two hours, and they're still coming in.
I am not as happy to report that two members have reported (as of five minutes ago) that they have not yet received any emails.
I've asked them to please be patient for a few more hours and then report back if nothing is received (or if, as I hope, that a mass of emails is received).
I'm a tad nervous about losing members because of the flood of emails. Lots of duplicate emails, too. If I were in their shoes, it might just be enough to get me to cancel my membership.
I've sent a broadcast message, but if that's one of 100+ messages they receive, they may not even see it.
Fingers crossed that I will not lose any/many members because of this.
Fingers crossed that the glitch IS fixed, that the Daily Digest feature can be improved and offered again (I do have members who want this option, and will likely opt for no emails, which is not a situation I want, either).
Very grateful to have messages coming in, not so happy about the long night ahead sifting through them all.
Very, VERY grateful that the backlog includes the new member notifications -- I need that data!
Discovered as I went through that this problem began April 24 for me = one full month = I do agree/believe that this warrants a one-month extension of service plan or some sort of compensation.
Hope everyone affected is now receiving email notifications.
Thanks. Just a report as I wrote earlier I turned off digest and email verification but neither message broadcast or share function is working.
whats s4n but my guess is when yopu edited the textbox the code got currupted?
I just got off the phone with Dave from NING and he said he would look into it. Five minutes later...it is fixed. So I am really really happy about this. Thank you DAVE.
I sent out a "test" broadcast email to everyone including an account that I have as a "member" of my site. I didn't get a copy of the broadcast email in that account inbox, or in my admin email inbox at all...BUT, signed in as a member of my site......it showed up as a message in the message area inbox. How can that possibly happen?

well ning is a bloated complicated beast with thousands of ncs all demanding constant improb=vements ..and in a hurry it gets more and more complicated all the time
now think of ning as a human body ..but one thats had a giraff neck grafted on and monkey legs a cheetah heaert turkey eyes a fleas brain etc etc all these complicated "improvents" have to work well together or suffer transplant rejection or total organ shutdown
so what we see today is the flea brain (daily digest) may be the primary cause of the illness however some sites that have a horses ass too might have secondary infections and other symptoms
being that your site has features others dont its possible that older code thats been around since day 1 is still interfering it seems like it since the scroller broke as well that the scroller codes conflicting somehow too
i would suspect that the primary issue wuld have been with code changes made in the past few weeks it could even be reklated to the mobile site or any one of the dozens of projects in the works that weveryones screamming hurry ghurry hurry and finnish them..well when u hurry u make mistakes u dont test thourughly and glitches happen
It doesn't matter what the reason.....it broke...it got fixed. I don't change text boxes, hardly use any other scripts so nothing I did has broken anything. But that is moot....because NING fixed it.
My members just got pummeled last night with old notifications and messages from over the past month - NOT just this past week. What happened?
