I didn't receive email for 9 hours. Did you?
I did some tests: the emails I send are not arriving. Emails are delayed in their routing I guess.

I don't think blacklisting is a big problem with Ning, because when I send a message to a member one-on-one, I almost always get an answer back if I'm expecting one. Even to AOL addresses, which are among the most likely to block you.
What I'd like is the ability to see what's delivered, opened, clicked, blocked, etc. And the ability to customize all the messages the site sends.
The first thing I'd do is redo that damned unsubscribe link for comments and replies, because it's so easy to click that and unsubscribe when you intended to view a comment or reply. It needs to stand out. And even I can't figure out how to resubscribe reliably.
Permalink Reply by mobile.ning.com on May 26, 2012 at 6:57am SendGrid.com gives you the ability to see what's delivered, opened, clicked, blocked, etc. And the ability to customize all the messages the site sends.
But you will have to move your subscribers to a SendGrid List.
Why you don´t create a free 200 daily mail account to test the system?

Hi there,
I was wondering what they h.... was going on! I am a Political News site! When I blast news it MUST be current!!! That is the MOST important aspect of my site!
The past couple days I have way too much OLD outdated news hitting members mail box! VERY -VERY BAD FOR MY BIZ!!! and Current News requiring action - is Delayed!
I have folks contacting their Senators for out dated issues!! Yikes!
Gggrrrrr...
Please get this fixed! ASAP!
Thanks, Toodles...Suzie
Permalink Reply by Steve Cyrkin on May 25, 2012 at 2:30pm Most of all, Ning should have notified all NCs that there were email delivery problems--or growing reports of email problems--as soon as they were aware of the situation. To date, I haven't seen one email notice from Ning about it. Whoever the manager responsible for that is should be fired. It shows that they simply don't get it...and probably never will.
Permalink Reply by mobile.ning.com on May 25, 2012 at 4:33pm They do not look at trends. If they had done so, they had detected a lot of tickets reporting the problem. But they do not do any kind of statistical analysis of the data. Hence here were are.

Yes, our activity notifications seem to be working again but should we resend broadcast blasts from earlier in the week or are they likely to come through the queue soon, too?
Sending preview test messages doesn't seem to be working yet, fwiw.
Thanks.

Permalink Reply by Scott Fox on May 25, 2012 at 5:19pm Have not received your blast, Eric, but Just got a broadcast from one of our networks from Wednesday. (Which unfortunately promotes a podcast we did Wednesday night!)
Looks like the servers are working through the backlog s-l-o-w-l-y.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on May 26, 2012 at 11:31am I got the Creators broadcast message, Scott, shortly after this.
