A few weeks ago, Brian Floe had a great feature request —  to add a drop-down menu to the network bar, giving NCs direct access to all their manage pages.

It's simple, easy to do, and makes site management easier — we love it, and we're going to roll it out soon. In the meantime, we had one product question we wanted to ask. Would you rather see all Dashboard items in one list, or have a sub-nav? See the mockups for what I mean.

My vote is for Option A, because it's probably worth seeing everything at once, even if it does make the list pretty long. Also, we think there are ways we can optimize this organization going forward, so we're not super-committed to keeping the current structure. Might not make sense to set up a sub-nav if we're going to change it later.

With that in mind let us know what you feel — this is a feature for NCs by NCs :)

HMM GREAT QUESTION I LIKE BOTH STYLES,LOL,BUT NICK ARE YOU WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE?,LOL JUST JOKING (((INSIDE JOKE)))..BUT JUST TAKING A LOOK I PICK THE 1 WITH THE LIST COMING DOWN((OPTION (A))).CAN I BETA TEST THIS,LOL ANOTHER JOKE
I like option B better. It is easier to look at short lists than a long list.

I too, prefer option A. Less mouse movement involved.

Option B.  Easier to extend later and doesn't overwhelm you with choices.

I would definately vote A as I like to see everything in one go.

But will be pleased with either :)

Hmm. That's a tough one, Nick. I think Option B is less overwhelming, so that would likely be my choice.
Thanks. I'd vote for 1 (one list) as it's more likely to work properly on mobile devices (iphone, opera mini) so we can still manage on the move.
Both are good. But I prefer option A
Option B.

Option B for me. Great feature!

I'm voting for option A for two reasons.

1) I thought (part of) the idea was to save a keystroke. If you have the sub nav slide out you've lost that.

2)I haven't memorized all the choices (lol) so I would be looking through the sub-nav choices to find the one I want.

Extra note: I'm hoping, that at least in my wide screen monitor, the placement of the drop down will actually be off the main page because it will be tied to the top bar 'My Network'. In any case, I also hope you make it an opt-in feature (save yourself some grief from NCs that want 'control' of their network). I have the 'most used' (for me) in sub-tabs already and I'm quite happy with that.
