Here are the major components of my site's organization:

  1. Topic List - This shows ALL of the topics (displayed by letter each topic starts with - VIEW SAMPLE HERE - and organized into topics and sub-topics) this site covers, with links to each type of content with a specific tag, as well as instructions on how to tag.
  2. Icon Key - This shows what feature each graphic stands for, and is displayed on the right-hand column as well as on each page of the topic list.
  3. Groups - Each group has "sub-groups" and each individual group will have its own tags, which the members will know to use. This could take some time to set up, but I believe it will pay off in the long run.

Parts of my topic list:

Icon Key  - I simply added several images and wrote next to them what they stood for...

Letters - I created a page for each letter of the alphabet and each page includes topics that start with that letter (IE Oklahoma on "O" and Animals on "A".)

Topic Names - Each topic page includes a list of the topics under that letter.

Topic Links - Each topic includes icons next to them which are linked to that type of content. Icon names which are groups (IE Oklahoma City) are linked to the actual group ON the name.

Tagging Instructions - I included instructions about how to tag items and why it was important to tag items, as well as how to get missing tags added.

***Keep in mind, this content is still in progress, so may change over time. If you notice anything you think could be better, please feel free to let me know. Thank you!***

Janettee, thank you for the input. May I trouble with a phone call? I think I need some more explanation. Tom Callos 530-903-0286

I apologize for the delayed response... I've been mobile only and can't reply from my iPhone. I'm happy to help but quite busy so it may be a week or two before I can help. Would you please send me your information via a message as a reminder? Also - you probably shouldn't post your phone number here, I'd remove it.

Hey Tom did you ever get this figured out?

Hi, no, I haven't, but am in need!

Hello Tom... I'll try to send you an email soon. I'm getting ready to head to work. I'm off Friday so I'll try to respond then.

I just ran across this discussion today and would love to talk with you about how you did all this.

Great Scott! Is this discussion featured? Excellent work, Janettee!

Aww thanks Patrick:)

You're welcome. =)
