Some of my high traffic pages, including a big upcoming event page, recently started showing that their URLs have a "-1" added to them, yet no duplicate page name has been created.

This is breaking inbound links pointing to these very important pages.

How can I fix the page names, and why is it happening?

Yes, and whenever I edit a blog post a whole new url is now reassigned to it which includes "-1" at the end.

This is not good at all because I have embedded links to my blogs all through my network, and I often edit blogs.

Now I cannot edit blogs without editing urls in thousands of locations, which would take me years.

Please fix this bug!
This is also happening after I edit photo albums.

This is a nightmare.

Please, keep the current urls the same.

I can understand that all NEW blog posts and albums can have a "-1" — but not the old ones.
It also applies to static pages and events, apparently, which is even worse than blog posts. In any case, none of these URLs should change once created unless there was a tool to manually change them (which coincidentally, would also allow me to resolve this issue right now).

Exactly!

This bug has already caused me grief and embarrassment.

For me, the blog posts are worse because I don't use pages much, or events at all — but I see your plight Nolin!
Hello! Thanks for reporting this. We have received a few reports about this, and it looks to me like a bona fide bug. I am told that once we confirm it as a bug, this can probably be fixed in the coming days. Our engineers are looking at this right now. I'll get back to you with more information. Thank you!
That's a relief.

Also please tell the engineers that some people, including me, have updated some urls embedded in links on (many different kinds of) pages: so that the new "-1" url is now being used.

Thus we need a fix that will ensure that the "-1" urls for (any) edited pages are not reverted back to their old non "-1" urls. At least, if they have to be reverted, please re-direct the new urls to the old ones.
Have you received any bug issues, recently, with regards to tagged landing pages. I run a site where writers post every weekday based on themed writing prompts I provide. I tag their post each day based in the day of the week. My ...words_inc. landing page is now not working:
http://thinkingten.ning.com/profiles/blog/list?tag=words_inc.

This is a huge problem for me. Any idea why this would start happening? Is there a limit to the number of posts that can have a tag?
Good news: We have located this bug and will be fixing it today.
Wow, excellent!
Hi Eric - did this fix get deployed? How are we to revert our page names so that the original URLs are restored to working again?
Yes, it should be working now. I am told that the original URLs should be working.
what about the URL's that had the -1?
