Photo Slideshow

A photo slideshow where we can include a subset of photos by direct selection, or by tag, or by member. Add the ability to select either random display or a set sequence. Add the optional ability to vote on these separate to the other site rating. Allow it to be added to the home page in addition to the existing photos feature. Add a few different styles of slideshow.

You know have a great feature. Use it for -

- Showcase a subset of photos based on a tag for a competition using the rating
- Showcase based on a tag for a theme week
- Showcase based on a tag for an event
- Showcase a single members photos for paid promotion, reward etc.
- Showcase a set of photos you manually select for some specific reason. You can't always refine a subset just by tag.

If it can be in addition to the current photos feature you could use that to show albums and this to show photos.

If you are worried about load time then enhance the current slideshow with these features.

At the moment a network that is strongly focused on photos, and a lot are, is limited to what we can present on the home page. I would love to show thumbnails on recent uploads so members all get a chance, though short, to be on the home page. In addition I would love to run the occasional competition, or a theme week, or just feature the work on a single member. But still retain the thumbnails of recent uploads.

There is no way to do that at the moment.
