Potential Members are Unable to Sign up

Potential members trying to sign up cannot get their passwords accepted and I don't understand how that can happen, so I took their email address and tried to sign up with it myself and this is what I got, over and over and over again. It didn't matter what I put in for a password it still wouldn't accept it!

They are not even a member yet so how can their password be incorrect or be reset?

my site has been effectively shut down to new members as well its not our thought that ning network site is not takeing sign up new members,its down to the bosses to fix this bug

I agree-I was SO excited that the problem was Solved, I tried to sign in another for them and their chosen password and NO GO, SO I cannot launch My site until it does work! Im paying PRO and no GO!

Hey there,

Did you try resetting their password? It sounds like they already have a Ning ID, and were not using their Ning Id password.

I cannot change anothers password, they are sent a reset password email to their inbox not mine, and if i use my email to reset a password it resets mine. As admin i do not see how I can change another members password, can I?

Hi - if it's any help - I had this issue earlier this year for a few months.

I submitted (several !!) tickets to NING and the solution came: for some reason some weird coding had found its way into my stats and it was screwing everything up.

I still don't know how it got there, but once the NING team found it and removed it there were no more issues.

Members on my network - mybbwo.com are having the same issues. I hope someone will post an update here when they fix the issue. -lh

I had this happen with a comcast.net email. I signed them up for a yahoo.com email and they were able to sign up. I hope this is not happening to others that don't call me for help! Mike Thies

I am still having this issue- and of course only 4 people have emailed and asked why they cannot signup. All for differant gmail, att etc. No help from ning support after 4 requests going back almost 30 days. So what is going on here?
