Once a week through a series of manual add-hoc work arounds I track metrics in a crude excel spreadsheet. The process stinks, I'm tired of it, and I know there has got to better way to get engagement metrics.

When I first heard about leader boards I thought it would do the trick but so far, they have fallen short, way short.

What I would love to on the Dashboard is reporting functionality with robust filters and data that is exportable to PDF (for reports) and excel for further manipulation.

I'd love to be able to produce reports that answers the questions:

  1. How many and which types of members by Role Types were active over a period of time and in which features. I'd then like to be be able to drill down for each member to see what content they contributed.
  2. What content type was contributed and how many interactions (replies, comments, and shares) did it get over a specific period of time, by whom, and sorted and grouped by filters listed below.
  3. Who shared what type of content and and on which platform over a period of time.
  4. For leader boards I'd like to see robust filtering capabilities. Let me define who is a top member and what constitutes top content.
  5. How many invites were sent and how many of those folks accepted the invite and from whom. I'd also like to filter by invites to networks vs. features which is currently now possible here -  /main/membership/listInvited?xg_context=moderation.

Filters:

  • Date Range
  • Role Type
  • Category
  • Tag
  • Feature (Blog Post, Event, Group Discussion, etc).
  • Invite Type

If this were possible, I'd have:

  • Two more hours a week to drive engagement as I would not be rudimentarily measuring it.
  • Data to tell me which members  to focus on on encouraging further
  • Data to tell me which members and features (groups) we need to give some love too.

Thanks for listening.

It would also be good to see how many sign-ups were abandoned, and at which stage, and who invited them, if they did.

OMG yes. Good one!!

+ 1 It would also be good to figure out the connections made on a network i.e. who became friends with who. Also having an idea of who added a tag to a specific item would be useful.

Thanks for that Joseph,

I thought this is on the NING roadmap? Isn't it?

I've lost track Jens.

OH YES PLEASE!!
