OK, so I know that IE just doesn't play well with some code and just displays things strange. But maybe there is a work around for my problem.
Link to my network: ShineNet.net
On my network, my header image resides as a "header background"
I have the network name color set to transparent.
On Chrome, Firefox and Safari it looks fine. In IE the network name appears in bold black letters right over my header.
I know I can upload my header image as a logo to replace the network name but then I don't think the tabs will line up the way I want the to over the bluish bar.
I tried to upload a transparent blank "logo" I created in photoshop figuring it would take the place of the network name but be "invisible"; not so. It appears as a large white box.
Many of my target network members will be US federal govt employees who may access at work and the US govt uses PC with IE almost exclusively;I can't ask my people to just switch browsers. It needs to look right on IE.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance....

Permalink Reply by Ron Fritzemeier on November 5, 2012 at 11:08am IE 9 and IE 9 "compatibility mode" (lol) look fine. pngs with alpha layers get messed up in IE6.
If you truly do not want that text there, try this in your custom css:
#application_name_header_link {
display: none;
}
#xg_sitename {
height: 90px;
}
