Hi everyone!

We're pleased to announce a key improvement to the broadcast message, which we've heard will make things easier for many of you. This is a perfect example of agile development, which allows us to make small, frequent improvements to existing features.

Starting tomorrow afternoon, you'll be able to click a "Send Me a Preview" link at the bottom of the page:

SendMeAPreview

This sends out the broadcast message only to you, so that you can get a feel for it will look in email before sending it out to the rest of your members.

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback about this feature improvement.

Thanks!

Super. Thanks. It miss a lot
Thanks, Ning. I was just about to commit to Constant Contact, and at 8,500+ members that would have been expensive. I'll see if this combination of features can do what I want instead.
great! i love that rich text view! can we have that in ALL the composing boxes? when i am editing the pages i was like, oh hi, html, nice to see you again.
so pumped about this!
Great news. Next, how bout the ability to preview what we design in textboxes?
As I just found out, to my dismay, it is awfully easy to hit the send button instead of the send me a preview button when transmitting a mass email to all.

Any chance that when you hit the send to all, there could be a brief stop with an "Are You Sure" message and another button to hit?

It wasn't a problem before, but now when I am sending myself a number of previews, it becomes a scary issue.
I noticed a renewed tendency for Ning messages to be delivered into the spam folder in my yahoo. This may be because yahoo detected HTML and that put the messages ofr the treshhold for spam detection, or it may be just yahoo tinkering with things. Just a thought. Did you check there?
Hey Anita!

Looks like it's working as expected for me:

If that's not the case for you, can you drop us a note in the Help Center and let us know?

I have been setting up the broadcast message in Notes. Creating it there give you the ability to save it and come back to it later. Just make sure you cut and paste it to your broadcast message and then send yourself a preview.

The other benefit to creating it in Notes is that you have a hard copy of your broadcast messages that you can store on your Ning site.

My broadcast messages are my e-newsletter that I send out once a month. Now my members can refer back to these e-newsletters in Notes!
that's what im doing too. its nice to be able to grab copy from a couple of old newsletters and combine it into a starting point for a new one. Sent-to-myself is a great idea though. cant wait to use it.
the HTML does not show in Gmail.
Hey Nique!

I've actually looked at the messages in Gmail, and the HTML shows up fine for me. If that's not what you're seeing, contact the Help Center and we'll take a look!
