I posted this yesterday in the wrong area. I intended for it to be a suggestion to ning.

Is it possible to have a signature block that can be anchored in any post, comment, or message and made available to all members if they choose to use it. I use a certain signature on all of my posting and messages and it always ends up at the lower left corner of the post, comment or message. I would like it to stay where I put it and be auto placed when I respond to anything on our site.

Hey OD!

There's no built-in way to do this today. Personally, I use a program called Quicksilver for mac that allows me to hit Apple + 6 on my keyboard and generate the following message:

/Evan
Ning Product Manager

We'll see if we can build this into the forums down the road!
Thanks Evan,
I have been typing it in for a long time and just thought it would be a nice added feature for some future upgrade. Could be, that not everyone would want to use it, but I just like the personal touch added to my writing.
Maybe it could be an option on the members profile page so they could elect to use it or not, that would be a nice addition. Thanks for your responce.

It would be nice to add it to all replies/comments across Ning.
I agree, I would use this. It would brighten up the forums a bit too if we could use colour etc in the signitures :)
I've had requests for this function in the messaging center, so that when members send messages to one another, their sig auto appears (my members send their mailing address back and forth, and get tired of typing it over and over) ...
Although not built into Ning and similar to Evan's suggestion you could use a program called PhraseExpress. It will allow you to create shortcuts like Evan mentioned and it is free for personal use. http://www.phraseexpress.com/ You will most likely find yourself using it for lots of things.

One thing I use it for is to autotype the code for the image of a welcome matt when welcome new visitors. I have also contemplated using it to provide the standard response to a new discussion post that asks where the old Ning Search has gone. :-)
