I want to change the "sign up" page and insert a link to my frontpage, so new visitors can get a pre-view of my web page before they sign up. I have tried to include the link in the "Sign Up for %s..." but the link does not work

Ummm... Why do that? If someone clicks the link to your network, the first thing they will see is your home page.

1. If someone gets invitations (friend invite) to our network and they click on the invitation mail, they will land on the "sign-up" page and there is no link to the website. So they dont know much about what they are signing up for...

2. if a member is using "share on Facebook" and somebody clik at the link, they will be directet to the sign-up page, because our network is set to - guest can only see the frontpage.

I am sure that "potential" new members want to see and read more before signing-up than only the sign-up page. I have tried to include a link by using <a href=".... etc but it does not work...

That's strange. The only reason anyone would be taken to the sign-up after clicking on a link to your networks url is if your network was private. Now if you posted a link to a video or discussion and your network is set for "home page only", anyone clicking those links would be taken to your sign-up page. In any event, I don't know if what you're asking is possible at all.

From what I've come to learn over the years of being here, is that Ning invites don't work well, emails often end up in the spam folders of your prospective members. If you can spare a few dollars more, I would recommend using Constant Contact, then connect it to your Ning Constant Contact application.

The reazon is because your network is private, you have to change to a semi-private( visitors can see everything but can't participate or coment)

Go to :

1- Admin

2- Privacy

(a) Public

(b) Only Home page

(c) Save Changes

Hope this work.

That's what I thought. Thanks for helping Mateo, Alexander.

You R Welcome,

Hope that help.

Thanks for yr advice. But my question was about another issue... I want my website to be "private" - only frontpageview. Therefore I want to include at link in my sign-up page so that, if people who click on the invite mail (they are landing on the "sign-up page) can visit my frontpage before signing up. Look at this signup-page as example:

http://jensocial.com/main/authorization/signUp?

Can you see the links above "Sign Up for JenSocial: Social Network Directory / Social Web Directory"???

I can not include my links in the langue editor. This is my signup-page: http://aolsocial.org/main/authorization/signUp?

This is my text in the language editor:

The intention of The Art of Living Social Network is to facilitate the process of AOL community members from all over the world getting to know each other better and stay connected cross borders. Create a profile and become member of %s

I am sorry for my english and that you dont understand my qustion.

Regards Mateo
