The person who created our network filled out transfer form more then a week ago, how do I check to see if its done yet??

Good Question! , you are supposed to receive an email instructing you what to do (if it is you it is being transfered to), if your current creator submitted the details correctly, including your correct email address.

I transferred a site twice last year and it went smooth enough within 7 days.

It seems to me that you should have received a reply by now, but there also currently seems to be a big delay in solutions from Support.

With the current Ning changes and lack of Support to our current issues, I think we all should be prepared for big surprises and more issues when August 20 2010 arrives, as to me things do not appear to be running smoothly with Support.

I will not be suprised if many Creators lose there sites even though they will have tried to adhere to Ning's new service.

What I would recommend is to save all the email addresses of your members or any other info, which can be obtained from the Network Creator, and if the site does disappear, you will at least be able to create a new site to invite those members to.

And To All Out There, backup as much info as you can, do not rely on Ning doing it for you at this time.

I requested a site transfer today, but the person who is going to be new administrator has recieved nothing yet.... when should she should get the email with instructions?
Eric, What ticket? it says an email will come from ning to the present NC and they should forward it to me...Well the NC has not received any info on it..
There's really nothing I can do to compel a Network Creator to hand over their network. We do our best to contact them through the contact information we have for them, but we have to have their permission before turning over ownership. I'm sorry if this isn't happening for you, or not happening as quickly as you like.
Eric, I am in contact with the NC, we are good friends. He has not received anything from Ning as of this writing. Should he send another transfer request?
