I always wanted more options for the subtabs in DS (at least border options). I finally got around to playing around with mine and figured I'd share.

This is what my subtabs looked like before (boring):

Here's some tweaks to give your subtabs some borders, background images and sliding animation (text file). Add it to your Advanced / Custom CSS.

End result:

Use what you want out of it. I suggest you use a small pic & optimize it to keep the size down for response times.

Have fun!

Update:

I threw together some background images & optimized them. Here's a new example of mine.

Save the image you want and upload it to your own site. They are the same colors as the Floating Quick Navigation If you are using that too.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!   THIS IS FRICKING AWESOME!!!!!

It works in the old appearance editor, too!!  THANKS!!!

Sweet! Glad you like it :)

Nice one, FireTech! Thanks for sharing.

Very welcome Sylvia :)

I'm getting a tiny "jump" with the page occasionally when I refresh. It has to be this code because I've never seen this before.  It doesn't do it every time, though.

actualy thats a bug i reported last week its in the like box

scroll down to it ahnd reload its related to the google + i think but i spent hours trying to ficx it with no luck

the facebook like does a wiggle then the google does a jump

I don't have Google +

I noticed that your subtabs jitter a little too when you move around. It should be smooth. I wonder if that's the same problem? Not too noticeable though...

you dont have the google + turned on in the likebox area?

whats your url?

No, I don't.   I have network like and Facebook like.  This jump didn't start until I added this subtab code.

But....I did notice that it doesn't occur in Firefox.  Only in Chrome.  So...once again, Chrome is proving itself to be a buggy pain in the butt.   It used to be the best browser around.

can u define this "jump" where u see it i see a lil flash on the featured flickster tab  like  a color change sometimes but im not loged in  i may join tomorow temporarily to poke around is the jumop on main page or on other content

i suspect its related to what i mentioned in the like arwa  whast ive seen is the facebook like loads and wiggles a tiny bit then the googke loads anf]d the entire area gets taller then shorter very fast shifting everything fir a split second

if thats nott what you mean  give me lil more details and ill try to find it

@Fire-Tech Thank you very much. One Love
