We used the slider code shared here
Today, it's 'frozen'!
stuck on slide 1 of 5
stuck in FF and Chrome
[the cursor changes from arrow to 'hand' but it won't budge the slides)
if(getrequest.indexOf( 'xj_count') <= 0) x$('#nfriends a').html(nfriendsa + ' ' + getrequest);
and is being caused because the getrequest variable is undefined.
Hope that helps,
You nudged us to make a thorough comparison of before and after code (after I'd added some CSS).
Lucky for me, the eagle-eyed (volunteer) assistant I am lucky to have spotted the error = we closed the code and all is well with regard to a once-again functioning slider.
BUT now we have a new mystery.
On test site all is well, but on http://englishworldwide.ning.com, Slide #4 has an odd glitch = the byline (sub-line) is way over to the right and on multiple lines. It should be all one flat line of linked text.
On the test site, <p> and </p> appear
When I copy the code from the test site and place the identical code on the 'real' site <br/> codes appear.
When I delete them and save, they just reappear, and the flat line of text does not reappear.
It was working fine a few days ago.
Hope you can see/follow my explanation.
Any ideas, anyone?
