Even though I have read many of the posts on this issue I still have some questions.
1. When someone signs up using Facebook social sign up do they still need to answer required profile questions?
2. If my site is public but I moderate/approve sign ups, do Facebook members using social sign up to my site get processed like the other new members who need to go through approval?
3. Even though there is a proxy email for Facebook members, are these Facebook members still included in Broadcast emails?
4. Facebook members who join my Ning site can still "friend" other Ning site members and email each other, right?
Thanks,
Richard

Happy to help.
1. Yup, of course.
2. Yup, sure do.
3. Yup, proxy emails don't affect deliverability — just prevents you from knowing their real email.
4. Of course!
Facebook Login was about making it more enticing for members to join and smoothing out the beginning of the sign up process a bit (and not having to remember another password). It doesn't change what happens once someone finishes the "Create Profile" page.

One more question--or two:)
Before jumping in to Facebook integration I wanted to think more strategically about it. Sorry for my newbeeness!
What is the connection between the required Facebook App and 1) a personal Facebook page like my existing one, and 2) a new Faccebook fan page aligned with my Ning site.
Does the Facebook App equate to either of these Facebook pages. The question has to do with where shared content on my Ning site will end up.

The Facebook App what you use to post to your Facebook Fan Page. Think of it this way — it's the vehicle (Facebook App) you'll use you to shuttle stuff to your home (Facebook Page). In an ever-confusing Facebook twist, you can actually post things on an App's page and become a fan of an app, so to continue to the analogy, you can also sleep in your car. Of course, much better to sleep in your house than your car :)
Hopefully this actually makes things clearer.

1. So, the Ning Facebook App is a vehicle (intermediary) that helps push content to my existing Facebook personal page. Right? I won't end up with two pages--the FB App and my existing FB personal page--or, even if there are two FB pages (the FB App and my FB page) I want my content pushed right to my existing page--that's what people would see.
2. When my Ning members post Blogs, for example, where does the blog get sent to? Could it go to my members personal Facebook page and/or my Facebook personal page?
Can I set it that way? to push content to both the members FB page and my personal FB page?
What settings for doing this?
3. I think I read that you could push the content of the Status updates to my personal FB page? Is that right? Settings for that?
Thanks for all the help

You can't automatically force members to post anything to Facebook. When you create a Facbook App for sharing, though, members see a "Share this post on Facebook" box when creating new blogs, discussions, etc. Most of this information can be found in our Help Center, so I suggest searching around there if you have further questions.

I have included a snapshot from my FB personal page posting that came from my Ning network. So far so good! It worked.
How do I make it so that when you click on the "via Conscious Community-Reno" (my Ning network) at the bottom of the FB post it goes to my Ning network URL versus back to the FB App page?
