Every time I go to find a member from the general member list of my site, it defaults to the newest members, so I have to sort alphabetically to better find the person.  2 questions:
  1. Can I set the default sorting to something other than newest member? I'm rarely going to find the newest members, so it doesn't make sense that it should default to use sort.
  2. DEVELOPMENT REQUEST: Ning, could you PLEASE edit the code for the member page to allow us to sort by last name?  Every organization in the world sorts member lists by surname; being limited to first name sorting just takes longer to find who you're looking for, and it's not what anyone is used to using as a sorting method.

I have a related issue... Several times I've noticed that the name isn't sorted correctly because they used lowercase letters. Can we get rid of the difference between lowercase/uppercase?
I'd like to add a hearty second to the request for last name sorting.  The current way is really sort of silly, and it makes my users think poorly of the software, which doesn't help with adoption.
