Spammers Attacking Ning Sites all Titled: for Hairstyles...

I rarely complain about having to decline spammer accounts on Ning Networks. It is what it is. But wow, this is crazy. I can barely keep up with this new influx of spammer accounts applying for Ning Networks. I receive at least 2 every hour from several Networks. They all have something about Hairstyle Promos. Anyone else?

Ning, anything we can do about this?

Yes I also encountered this one. Yesterday I suspended two accounts and today, there are two accounts wanting to join. It's all about hair styling, but when you click their profile... There are so many external links to different sites... real spammers.

If we can only prevent members to write or create external links.. that will be better.

Our site name is OurSalon.ning.com. ,which has nothing to do with that type of salon.

I thought they were just clever spammers with the hairdo names trying to sneak in under the wall....   a few a day for the last few days..yup.

I just deleted 5 new accounts that register today with the same pattern of names.

Yes Jen, I found it odd what I was seeing and came here to NING to check if others were having the same problem...this is crazy, It went from ill tell you later to hairstyles..i guess this is what they were going to tell us later.
