I tried searching the forums here but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I run a social network on ning for chicago area cyclists, www.thechainlink.org.

I'm starting to sell logo ads (as opposed to the current text-only and hyperlink ads), and am wondering what sizes are standard.

I started offering 175 x 50 pixel and 175 x 100 pixel since I don't want the ads to be too big.

Any thoughts?

Julie

hi, Julie :D

Right Column standard-size is 183px on your site.

You can offer ad smaller than 183px logo banner !!

Good luck,

Hi Ace,

I don't understand what your coding is for. What does it do?

I also don't understand the coding.  My question is what is standard, and what do you recommend I offer on my site on the right side column.  I don't want big ads, would rather have smaller ones.

Thanks, but I don't understand either of your answers yet.

Sho Allan - The size is 183px wide, tall or what?

I don't want to yet offer banner ads, just small side ads.

Hi Julie,

You might be able to fit a 180x150 in your right sidebar. Some other options would be: a 125x125 button, a 120x240 vertical banner, or else larger skyscrapers, either 160x600 or 120x600. I suspect you don't want the skyscrapers though, and it sounds like 180x150 will be best if that fits.

Thanks,

Phil
