I want to put sub- sections of pictures in my website such as faces pictures and nature pictures .....
when click in the section such as face picture, we will go to page which have only face pictures
Also, I want of these sub-section have link ( add picture ) separate than other.
as example, if any member went to add face pictuer, he will go to face section and click add picture from there

No idea how to do this, but it would be a very useful feature when you have thousands of pictures - people won't scroll through more than a few pages so to be able to group them would be great.

You REALLY want to have those categories come up under sub-categories like when you search for them, all of the Face Photos with come up. I think that's what you wanted! NIng just added a new members categories feature. It's all in the questions, and categories by default that the Search default searches for. I don't know if this can be done with Photos also. If so, it would most definitely be with code.

There are a few things you could do to get started. 1st...Go to add Page and create a new page and name is Face Images or whatever name you choose. After creating and SAVING that page, look in you html address bar at the top of your browser, and COPY the Link Address of the Page. 2nd... Open the page where you created the Text face Images, Highlight "Face Images" after entering the pages EDIT mode, then once highlighted click the LINK button in the Editor, and when the pop up window opens, PASTE the link that you copied from the new page you created there, and SAVE it! 3rd...After the page, and link info is saved, then go back to the page with the Text Link "Face Images" and reload the page, then "CLICK" Face Images link, and it will take you to the New page you created. 4th...Now just go to that new page and ADD the content that you want to be seem/displayed and YOU'RE DONE Friend! I hope this helps! Blessings. Let me know if you hit a snag along the way. Note: Pay close attention to SIZE when adding that content to our new page, try and keep them UNIFORM by making them the SAME SIZE to display. Also You can ADD a 3rd Party Photo App in you have hundreds of photos to display. And add it to that new page. Need more help let me know.

Garner Jr. on June 5, 2012 at 4:18pm All that's needed to do this is Creating Links to your Text Category, and creating new pages for your different Photo Categories. Or simply you can create 1 new page, add photo/object Icons for you categories like Nature, Faces, Genral, designs, and add a link to the Photos, and the Text to another page where the photos are loaded, or will be loaded to. Easy Fix!
Permalink Reply by classic on June 6, 2012 at 3:27pm this way how the member Upload a photo in this new page
it is will be by hand not automatically
I want it to be normal section which every one upload pictures

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 6, 2012 at 3:53pm if you just use the links and tagging you upload normally to your gallery
then its auto added to the tagged page so a link to it displays all photos tagged faces
theres a script someone posted that adds a "category" to blogs by giving you a dropdown menu with a choice of keywords and adds that list as category links that can be addapted to photos im sure
so when they upload a picture thered be a dropdown menu called photo type with faces landscapes etc
then the tagged list that matches those is added as links
unfortunately javascript isnt 1 of my skills i can help with so i can give you a suggestion on how it would be done but cant provide the code to do it
however ..there are others on here who can figure it out in their sleep
whoever posted the blog category tip would be your best bet at adapting it to photos
and..when its done let me know cause i'd love to use it too

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 6, 2012 at 11:22am tagging can accomplish this then you link to all photos tagged faces i think
yes it works perfectly
heres my all photos tagged dreadlocks
http://www.dreadlockssite.com/photo/photo/listTagged?tag=dreadlocks
so you just tag the photos wo=ith nature or faces then you click the tag for faces andcopy the url for all images tagged faces and create a menu item under photos use the urk[]l call the menu tab faces photos
Permalink Reply by classic on June 6, 2012 at 3:54pm *I want to know how you add picture in this section . It is by hand or automatically
if it is automatically , tell me how make it

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 6, 2012 at 4:01pm when you tag photos all this does is takes thart tagged list all photos tagged dreadlocks
and add a link to it
thats all
but they will have to tag the photos faces or dreadlocks or whatever when uploading or you can edit and add tags
theres a way to add a drop down list of pre-configured tags so when you use the list it auto adds that tag
pics uploaded before adding the dropdown will have to manualy be tagged
and they can still upload without tagging or using the dropdown auto tagger
but to quickly tell you how to do this
upload a photo
give it a title and description then add a tag..faces
save
now go to the photo you will see the faces tag
click it
copy the url
create a menu tab under photos and call it faces photos
paste in the url
save
that simple
