subtle effects

been tweaking a new site

i posted it for critique and 2 ppl did say they didnt like the default graphics that came with the theme (i will probably change them at some point but as of now ive found subtle ways to make it look lot better)

the 1st way was simply condense everything in the header area tighter

there was alot of padding going on and when they were closed up moreit looked way better

then addingg and tweaking tethe site name description and module headers

(imm not 100% done tweaking the color combos on the module headrs yet ive tried hundreds of combos and settled on this..temporarily)

this is on the elegant theme i believe its called

someone suggested i try the urban theme but ..i really didnt like it

i believe it was tyhe gold rays image that ppl didnt like

so

my solution

integrate it more

condence the entire masthead

tighten it all up bring the site name and desc closer in  so the rays image fades more in behind the text

add a subtle text shadow

(i am not 100% on the colors yet but picking color combos at random and trying em out was drivin me crazy..lol)

i would looooove some color combo suggestions

never mind settled on red and black simple

final version after some tweaking on the module header sizes too

    • thnx did lil more tweaking that has a semi transparent background

      whic means you can change the background beghind the image background to change the color..and overall visability of the background (since it was sey failrly close to the images ag=verage color had very lil definition)

      on my main sites profile  i played with multiple layers of transparent backgrounds  with diferent transparencies each (and a transparent hidden menu till u hover)

      as ya can see u can get alotta interesting depth through layering and adjusting background colors (many of which were left transparent)
