It seems this is a very common problem and I've reviewed at least 20 posts but I have not found a solution to the table formatting issues I'm experiencing. I don't have any CSS, HTML coding background so I'm exporting a table to HTML, then copying the code into a Ning page. The table looks fine in the visual editor but the text does not line up after images no matter what I do. I really would like to take the "under construction" notice off of this page.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, I am having the same problem. Would like to include a simple 10 rows 3 columns table in my Ning site. Gloups ! I just can't. Someone would have an idea ?
Though I might ask Bueller of course ! ;-)

Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on January 31, 2013 at 11:02pm Tables show, but the borders won't show automatically. I had to create a CSS declaration to make the table borders show for my tag stream.
<style type="text/css">
table, td, th { border:1px solid black; } th { background-color:grey; color:#ff0000!important; }
</style>
Permalink Reply by Tat Ruck on February 1, 2013 at 3:33pm I use this table generator - you just change the values and it generates the html.
Thanks Tat !
I tried, copied the html code into the right place, I guess, and generated a table. The only thing now, is that it is a static table. In other words members cannot use it to enter values or information in it.
What I would like to create is a table where members of my group (a bunch of friends) may prepare a trip, say, to Italy, and indicate in the appropriate cell, row, column, etc. if they plan to go by car, plane, train, if they have available seats in their car, etc.
Of course, commentaries on an event may be useful, but they have to be "consolidated" manually in a word or Excel table. Whereas if we had an interactive table functionality in Ning, or a way to create it, with html or other, well, that would be quite useful.
So thank you so much for your information, but I am still searching.
