Before some minutes got an e-mail from creators.ning.com. Is this a spam? Was the network hacked?

Good testing lol

Sweet coincidence for sure if someone was actually testing a bitch at the same moment.

@Denis.....where is the LIKE BUTTON??????  LOLOL

Hahaha that's funny Diane. I am thinking of a similar message to use next time on my network. It's a great way to see how many members are getting the broadcast messages we send. Frame up something that will make everyone talk the way we are commenting on this one.

To be honest, Denis, this message really got the attention of lurkers. I saw a lot of members who commented on Creators who clearly have had accounts for two years or more, but this was the first time they had ever commented on anything. So, from that point of view, it sure did get the attention of people who otherwise don't participate. The spirit of what you are saying sounds right, although you probably wouldn't want a message like this one.

Eric's gaffe has given me 3 days of absolute LMAO, however, now I am getting duplicates of posts that were made on Wednesday, so alas, I must click the "stop following" link. Bummer.

I'm getting the messages again, too. I thought Paula Mary was upset with Eric again. It made me think of this....

Not only am I getting the messages again, but "stop following" did not work.

I do have a broadcast message that I need to send on Monday. I hope the issue is resolved by then and this new thing isn't part of it.

The funny thing is, I have the "stop following" clicked here, but I'm still getting email notifications about this discussion. lol!

I *love* Ning for being professional but also to keep their human face behind the company. Try communicating with YouTube, for instance :)

If this type of humanness would change, so would my feelings for Ning! So, Eric, you've only made Ning move to an even warmer place in my heart!

I also honour you for taking the time to 'take the blame' but there truly is no blame to take. People giving you a hard time in this really have nothing real going on, just my opinion.

Keep moving forward guys, what you do is great!

LOL @ Eric! It happens - don't feel too upset about it. It seems most of us just thought it was funny. However - I have a story from work that may help with a "in the future" idea to avoid this again...

There's a guy at work we all know... You know, the one that says stuff at random, is usually pretty funny, seems to get along well with the customers - but sometimes he says stuff and we're like "He did NOT just say that to the customer!" or "How the heck did they even start talking about THAT?!"

Well, one day, he had a call come in about flowers for a funeral. He asked them what they wanted the card to say. They weren't sure. So he said he could come back to that later in the call... Our system requires us to enter SOMETHING to move on to the next part of the order, so he told the customer he was going to enter something that would remind him to come back and change it later.

A few days later, he gets called in to see the boss, who is FURIOUS - the customer was also FURIOUS... His choice of something to write in the card message, which he then forgot to change... Was "Hahahaha"! OMG! Well, he made his apologies, promised never to do it again - and he's still there. His promise was to always just put "." as the message if they needed to come back to it.

So... It happens to all of us. Most of the time, it's not a huge deal. You learn from it and move on. Next time, though - perhaps "This is a test message." would be a better choice of words? :)

*Tongue In Cheek* I bet this is the complete opposite of what you expected from me, huh? :)

Lolz :P
