I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing text box issues on their networks?
We have many members who are using the text box on their profile and now some members have found them at the very bottom of their profile page, under the comments wall and they are not able to drag and move them... they are like locked in place!!!
Is anyone else having this issue?... or know of any temporary problems going on or should I submit a "ticket" to Ning?
Thanks and I hope someone has some help or info...

Permalink Reply by TJ @ jQueryHelp on August 7, 2012 at 1:58pm I wonder if anyone has tried to move the textbox on people's profile page with jQuery. I have experience with apps that require moving modules on profile pages. I use the appendTo function in jQuery:
http://api.jquery.com/appendTo/
This function will MOVE a page element from one place to another.
The div that holds the textbox has a class of module_text. Make sure you select the right one as there may be textboxes elsewhere, for instance in the right column.
If you have FireFox and FireBug and a knowledge of HTML and the Ning DOM, you will be able to locate your textbox and will be able to identify the div of a module where you want to move it above or below.
This may be one possible temporary solution that may help while Ning crafts the ultimate solution.
Best wishes!

I basically informed my members who are complaining that there is nothing I can do because the entire platform where my site sits is messed up and to please be patient.

Just a note that this issue is now resolved. If you're seeing any further issues, please send us a ticket.
Cheers,
