Very disappointing to see that the search feature doesn't work anymore. Member search, search box at the top right hand side of the homepage all don't work anymore.

Yes, same here- no search functions are working on my network. Members are griping now.
Permalink Reply by Aaron on February 11, 2013 at 8:48am Hi Denis,
Our engineering team is looking into an issue with search that's been going on for a while now. At first, only new content was not getting indexed, and this specifically affected new members. Now, it's clear that this issue affects most aspects of search.
Our engineering team is looking into this issue now and is already taking steps to fix it. I'll update here as we make progress on this end. Due to the broad scope of this issue, it can take some time for the fixes we're implementing to be applied across all networks, so we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.
Thanks for sending in a ticket—we'll add any specific examples in it to our test cases we can check once this bug has been fixed for good. I'll update everyone here as we make progress towards resolving this issue.

How long is "Some time?" Hours?
I have a revolt starting up on my site and am a little worried...
Permalink Reply by Aaron on February 11, 2013 at 10:12am Hi everyone, I have an update on this. Right now, it looks like there are two separate issues:
1) There's a search outage on some networks that appears to be related to a database issue. Our team is investigating this now, but for affected networks, no results will be returned at all.
2) There's a separate issue where search works, but does not pull in recent content. In this case, new members and content cannot be found in search, but old members and content can. Search results are generally stale.
We'll be addressing issue #1 first since that's more urgent. #2 may take a longer time (several days) to get search results fully up-to-date.

Permalink Reply by Tyler Durbin on February 11, 2013 at 11:42am Not sure if this is related but right before this all started, a user changed their name. Usually, it changes instantly. This time, took a while and changed in the forums first but the activity and member section took a full day for it to update.
Hi Aaron, we sent a ticket yesterday, and in our network is affected all searchs. Thanks for your information.
Permalink Reply by Aaron on February 11, 2013 at 10:13am Thanks, escucha.com! I'll add your report to the bug we have on file for networks affected by a total search outage.
It´s the same for us. We need a fast solution.
