For some days now I haven't been able to successfully upload videos to my Ning 2.0 network.

After uploading, you get the following message:

"Your video upload on XXXX did not complete"

Then they give a kind of Video ID that should be used to troubleshoot the problem.

1. Should this troubleshooting be done by the NC ? If yes, how?

2. Has anyone else noticed this problem or it is just my network?

NB: I sent in a ticket about this on May 24th, and only got the usual auto-response message.  I don't know whether it is because of the weekend or just some negligence. I am pretty disturbed by this problem.

  • Are you uploading or embedding?  I just embedded one just fine but if it's an uploading problem, idk how quickly Ning will address it since 3.0 doesn't support uploads and Ning seems to be focusing on the new platform and not the old. 

    I certainly hope they DO get this addressed however b/c existing networks shouldn't lose members before migration due to a crumbling infrastructure.

    • This is not a video embed Kos. I have been trying to upload it to the general video section. No reply from Ning yet except the auto-response. It's frustrating. Ning 2.0 maintenance can't be abandoned just yet. We still have lots of projects running on Ning 2.0.

      • Quite true.  Although their office is closed today, I hope one of the Ning team sees your posts and investigates it tomorrow.  Why don't you place your ticket # here so that they can pull it up (hopefully) tomorrow.........

        • I have just tried again to upload 2videos and surprisingly they when through successfully. I used the simple uploader. The flash uploader doesn't work.

          • Check Flash - see if there's an update?

  • I have had several Flash updates over the past 3 weeks-  Denis do follow Kos' advice and be sure your Flash is up to date....it certainly can't hurt!

    • My flash is updated. I have checked. Two members have complained again about the same issue this morning. How is it on your Ning 2.0? Can you upload a video Strumelia?

      I succeeded in uploading two videos last night but now I can't.

      The 24hour response Ning says we have isn't valid anymore.

      • Go ahead and paste your ticket # here so the Ning team can follow up and give us a status on the Flash uploader being repaired.
