Boy oh Boy do i have a "treat" for all you just weeks before Halloween! LOL Ever wondered how facebook has that timeline feature on their site? No its not because their "facebook" and facebook has everything! LOL in fact you'll come to see facebook really has nothing at all except a programming team the size of the entire creators network! (well maybe not that many but you get the point) I come to you today to tell you that the internet and the power of a "search" has led me to many cool plugins for my network..some features I havent even added here as Im still working to make sure everything works properly.
1st on my list is the "accordion" style slide where you can feature text as well as images to display content on your site...I will post the code for this over the weekend! You're going to be able to simply grab the code and place into a text box whereever you want the accordion to show up..my version is that easy. Ive seen a few post about this and they all seem too extensive in installation, with my accordion its simply placing a text box where you want it to show up and the rest is customizing the code with the content you want inside.
2nd on my list is "timeline". Another easy install as you will again only need to drag a text box where you want the time line to show up. Place the code that will be provided and you're done! So it doesnt work exactly facebook but when you see what I've put together im sure you'll agree to implement it on your network. This one Im not going to put here on creators until maybe after thanksgiving.
Every ning network I visit with the exception of Patricks, Jens, Elson, and TJ all look the same. I must say that if we are always adding things here that we add to our networks then creativity runs very thin and im all for sharing but certain things im not going to add here. What this post is really about is encouraging all creators to heavily consider where they would like their networks to go. Maybe you put together your network just to say you did, or maybe you wanted an exclusive place for you and your friends to network. I created Well Kunnected to connect the entire world to multimedia entertainment. With ning offering groups, mp3 uploads, videos and photos as well as blog post..those are all considered multimedia..and theres no network to date that solely focuses on multimedia. Sure you can upload a picture on facebook but their not focused on media, just connecting the world so theres no mp3 players, or video upload options! I came to ning as a resource to be able to handle what I wanted to niche my network as, which is a hub for underground artist of all backgrounds! George Compton has been helping me out with the styling of my network and this is where this inspiration for this post came from. We should all work extra hard to find things we really need for our networks, and not just things to add to creators for a thumbs up.
The Jquery plugins im working on will be the last additions to creators for me. Again, im all for sharing but its discouraging to see the same effects and features on every ning network, we kinda highlight ourselves as being "powered by ning" LOL. Look forward to my next post on the jquery plugins and I hope you creators take this seriously!
PS: To my man soaring eagle, the best motivation on what you're doing pal is actual proof! Shoot a video of all that cash you're making so that these post can truly be implemented. Everyone is quick to follow each and everything they see here but seeing is believing and I'd have no probem shooting a video tutorial on how I was making 5 grand a day LOL. I work a corporate 9-5 job making 50k a year and im only 26 so cash isnt my main focus. But I would like to establish my network as what I have planned. Look forward to Well Kunnected!
thank you all for your exceptional support and keep up the great work on your networks!

Its really awesome and acts like the facebook timeline displaying month, day and year of whatever you put inside your timeline. You guys are gonna love this so stay tuned, i'll showcase it over the weekend ;-)

Permalink Reply by Thiago Santos de Moraes on October 19, 2012 at 1:03pm Well, I do not want any thing like the FB in my network.
Permalink Reply by Troy D. Bertrand on October 19, 2012 at 1:19pm I'm with you on that one Santos. Gotta be unique. Not to take away from what Armani is trying to accomplish but last thing I want is a fb clone.
I'm sure some NC's will appreciate it though.
Permalink Reply by Armani Rouse on October 19, 2012 at 5:24pm actually its simply a time line slideshow of whatever content you want to add to your site but it literally has the date frame in the slideshow the way facebook tracks your activity...in short, its a time line of whatever content you want people to see, i posted the forum already yet im still working on it but its cool, a very simple iframe, check for the forum!

where am i supposed to be checking?
Permalink Reply by Armani Rouse on October 19, 2012 at 5:25pm ;-) its a forum posted on the time line with a screen shot, its pretty simple to be honest check it out! good day!
