Hi all
I saw Ceddy J's post about iFraming Advanced Search Onto The Homepage, Is There A Way? and thought I'd post one possible solution here.
Create a Text Box on your homepage (middle column best).
In HTML mode of that new Text Box, paste this:
<div class="advsearch"></div>
Now in your Custom Code, paste this:
<script type="text/javascript">
x$(document).ready(function() {
x$('.advsearch').load('/profiles/members/advancedSearch form#advancedMemberSearchForm');
});
</script>
You now have your advanced search form on your homepage. I tested it and it seemed to work OK.
Enjoy

Permalink Reply by HELP SEEKER on June 25, 2012 at 9:51am thanks, it took tome to propagate !, works nicely now, it works also with creating a new search page and adding this in to html, this way you can add extra details, such as text, images etc.

Permalink Reply by HELP SEEKER on June 25, 2012 at 10:30am post on new page is good if you wanna charge for futures, i.e advanced search, anyhow is there a way to make new page full size, with not tabs on the side ?:)

Hi all,
I'm also going to chime in with a possible solution. I've posted part of this before but I've added two additional search functions. The code is sized for the right hand column of three in the design studio and makes for an all tri-purpose search box. I looks like this:
This is how it looks in IE 8-9-10 (via Windows 8!) I know - I know the search box is short but it lines up perfectly in Chrome and is long in Firefox, so what can you do but compromise!
I've attached a "word" file with the code that needs to be put in the text box on the first page. Each in a separate color so you can pick and choose. ...Of course, change the text in the contrasting color.
The code on the second and third page is the code you would enter into a newly added page and again change the contrasting colored text; paying attention to putting the address of the page that you placed the Search Google Plus code.
The codes I got from various places some official, some not. I tweaked and added as needed for my purposes.
Hope this will help someone,
James
p.s. I've added a screen shot of my Search Google Plus page in the test file.
