TIP>>Feature Certain Profile Questions Under Members Avatar<<

I had the opportunity to be able to share some quality information with a new friend here named Nick! (Hi Nick lol) and Nick wanted to showcase a certain piece of information on his members page under their avatar. The kool thing about this was I wanted to do the same as well but I am always so busy working on functionality of my site and design that I often overlook the simplicities of the Ning platform.

Today I have a small yet sweet tip for all of you to display a certain piece of information under your members avatar. We all have somewhat "niched" networks. Mine is about multimedia and the different forms of it displayed through blogs, music, videos and pic uploads. So I have my members to select what I'VE CREATED AS "profile Types" (again..i all caps certain things so no one confuses my work from someone elses...the idea of a "profile type" came from knowing other artist may want to collaborate with others...finding "others" would be easy if they were somewhat categorized and they are categorized on my site by defining everyones "profile type". I think its important tht everyone do their own thing when it comes to this feature but back to the tip lol)

Notice the little CPU icon next to my avatar? (excuse the huge afro! My hair is almost ready to be locked up and dreaded @ SoaringEagle hahahaha I'll be joining your site as soon as I twist up!) but the CPU is a representation of the "developer" profile type on my network. Now, look below my avatar at my information listed. It has my gender, location, and then my "profile type" listed! Nick wanted to display a certain bit of information on his members page as his site is dedicated towards a certain activity that I'll let him share with you guys if he pleases :) But how to achieve this? SIMPLE!

THE TIP>>Go to your "profile questions" in your NC dashboard...simply *FEATURE* whatever question you'd like to see an answer to on the members profile under their avatar...DONE!

I hope this helps someone other than Nick, I posted it because if he had questions about it, maybe others wanted to do the same...and now they can! Simply FEATURE whatever questions you wanna see on the members page. Have fun with this guys AND PLEASE BE CREATIVE! Worst thing would be to see "profile types" on every network...that would probably be the straw that breaks my ties here with creators! The word "create" means to do just that, theres nothing "creative" about copying..."do your thing" :) Enjoy!
