This is the actual discussion page. On the forum page I'm using the original 3 column layout.

For the original 3 column layout I changed your 982 width to 755 and it worked great.
But when you click on a discussion that takes you to the page (that I posted above) I get that unwanted giant header.

I'm sorry, I meant original 2 column layout.

Well as I already told you I have not tested with 2 column layout. I will provide you the code for 2 column layout if I will get time.

Best Wishes

Bernard

Okay, never mind. I just stripped that part of the coding out all together so the discussion page is not effected by the hack.

Cool Tips. Thanks Bernard.  :-)

You are welcome. And it looks good in your site.

nice site and good domain name

Hi Bernard,
I have a question: is there a reason for using script when some correctly implemented CSS would do it? (using xg_widget_forum for example)
I'm not trying to criticise, I'm genuinely wondering if there is a reason I'm missing.

Cheers SP

Hi SP,

Thanks for your question. Well, the reasons why I'm using script are:

1) I can't insert discussion icons with CSS and I want to make a compact code with .js file. I don't want to paste the codes here and there. Even I  want to do  a lot more things with script in future for forum design which can't be done with CSS.

2)  Sometimes CSS codes are not working perfectly at least for me.

Best Wishes

Bernard

Cheers

If we use .xg_widget_forum then it will affect main page forum and other related forums in group etc.

No it wouldn't. xg_module_forum would but xg_widget_forum pertains only to forum pages.
