Actually, this tip could be used for adding related posts to Photos (example), Forum Topics (example) or Blog Posts (example). To be honest, using this method you could probably show related posts and pages for just about any feed on the network you like.
Go to LinkWithin
put in your email and blog link (yournetwork.com/profiles/blog/list), forum link (/forum)or photo link (/photo)
Generate your code and place it at the bottom of all other codes inside the Custom Code box.
Then add the following undernieth it inside the custom code box
For Related Photos Widget:
<script type="text/javascript">
if (typeof(x$) != 'undefined') {
x$("DIV.imgarea").after('<div class="linkwithin_div" align="center"></div>');
}
else{
}
</script>
For Related Forum Topics:
<script type="text/javascript">
if (typeof(x$) != 'undefined') {
x$("DIV.discussion").after('<div class="linkwithin_div" align="center"></div>');
}
else{
}
</script>
For Related Blog Posts:
<script type="text/javascript">
if (typeof(x$) != 'undefined') {
x$("DIV.xg_module.xg_blog.xg_blog_detail.xg_blog_mypage.xg_module_with_dialog").after('<div class="linkwithin_div" align="center"></div>');
}
else{
}
</script>
Bonus Tip: Add Style to Your Widget
by styling the widget using CSS (in advanced CSS) you can add background image behind the links like so
DIV.linkwithin_inner {background:url('https://yourimage.png')}

glad it worked for you
Permalink Reply by Ceddy J on September 26, 2012 at 9:09pm This looks beautiful! I did for my blogs, will slowly start doing it for everything else! Question: Can we put all the codes in one .js file then upload it to our file manager?
Potentially great tool I'm testing it with forum posts linked to forum posts as a starter. It plays nicely mostly except on some occasions when it either appears as a bulleted list or fails to appear at all. On limited testing I think the common denominator seems to be that this happens to posts that include hyperlinked text.

terrific..glad it worked for you

Will trick work on private networks or only networks with public access?
Thanks

Hi, this seemed easy enough, and I followed all the steps adding both codes at the bottom of the custom code box and the widget appeared at the bottom of my sites blog posts but no related blogs are actually appearing. I can't figure out what the problem is and it's drinving me crazy. Any suggestions would be great. thanks!
Permalink Reply by Alison Genet on December 12, 2012 at 11:24pm I am so frustrated! I would LOVE to add this widget to my 2 ning sites, but can't get anything to show up after following all the instructions. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong.
Any suggestions if nothing shows up?

is your network public or private?
