Can someone please help me? I messaged George but I'm sure he's busy, I have succeeded in part of my goal, but "stretching" the column isn't working for me. I've stretched my forum, but for some reason, this same method isn't working for me.

I've used "inspect" via firefox web developer tools, to try and call to the column, which I think is span-14.

Someone can you please visit http://addictapic.com, using firefox or firebug, or whatever, and help me to get that stretched out to full canvas width? pretty sure it's

DIV#column2.xg_column.xg_span-14{width:983px!important;}

right? it's not working. :(

.xg_span-7 {
display: none;
}
.xg_widget_main_index .xg_span-14 .xg_3col, .xg_widget_profiles_profile_show .xg_span-14 .xg_3col, .xg_widget_profiles_profile_apps.xg_span-14 .xg_3col {
width: 1267px;

padding-top: 10px;
float: left;
}

you just gave me a new design idea..hope you dont mind..

I'm so happy with this right now, if I can hide the left column only on main page then awesome, but have a look, it looks pretty cool now! :P

These codes are available on Jqueryhelp.ning.com, that's where I found them. Not sure it's legal for me to give out a modified version of what he's given me. Let me see if I can find the jquery tabs link for you...

Ok, HERE is the post, everything is available there, including methods on altering it for yourself. :)

yes i know tj very well.unless there paid for scripts i dont think he minds..thanks

Hi Damien,

Two things about your site :

1. In IE 9 the tickertape scroll becomes a tickertape paragraph. Love it or hate it: 50%+ use IE worldwide and more than that in U.S. What to do? I'm not sure... maybe something can be done with the script.

2. The "feedjit' column can be adjusted for width via the code provided by feedjit. I think it would look better if it "fit" the width of the over-all column. Just my 2 cents worth...

I always check results  in the three major browsers after tweaking : IE, Firefox and Chrome--to be sure that users have the most consistent and expected experience. I've had as many as 10 browsers on my Computer at one time counting all the betas and developer versions. I've dialed back my obsession a bit!

Good luck with your site.

James

james i didnt think to look at internet explorer..thanks..but your right..i dnt use ie.sucks,lol,alot of hacks to get things right
