After send out a broadcast to all members on Dec 1, I had a number of members complain that they received the broadcast despite enabling the "I don't want to receive emails from..." feature. I contacted Ning Support (ticket #00123555) the same day, but haven't heard back yet.

I have to send out another (time sensitive) broadcast tomorrow to all members, but feel terrible doing so because I feel like I'm spamming my own members. I just know I'm going to get more complaints and inquiries as to why this is still happening and why I haven't fixed the problem yet. :0(

Any suggestions???

The same things is happening to me. I have selected "I don't want to receive emails from" on one of the networks I belong to but I keep getting the broadcast message emails.
It is quite annoying.

I have a report from another Network Creator of this and will add your comments to the ticket we have filed investigating this. It sounds like it is more widespread than initially thought.

I sent out another broadcast to our members on Dec. 6 and received more complaints about this issue. I have another time-sensitive broadcast that I have to send out Dec. 11, and am really hoping the issued will be rectified by then so I don't have to field more complaints. :0(

Any chance of an update on this issue???

I'm hoping someone can address this problem soon, as it still hasn't been resolved...even an update would be helpful!

Members have been complaining since Dec 1 that despite checking the "I don't want to receive emails from..." box on their email settings, they are still receiving my broadcast messages! I just did a test on my test site and this is still happening. :0(

Please help!
Hi Linda!

This fix was actually part of last night's release. Apologies for not updating this here! Any notifications sent out today should not be reaching members who have checked the box to not receive them.

Hi Laura, I just did a test on my test site right before posting my follow up message above. As of 5 minutes ago it still isn't working. I received a broadcast message despite checking the "I don't want to receive email messages from..." checkbox.

I tested three different notifications and have not yet received one. Can you provide some details including the account and network you are testing with in the Help Center?
