After send out a broadcast to all members on Dec 1, I had a number of members complain that they received the broadcast despite enabling the "I don't want to receive emails from..." feature. I contacted Ning Support (ticket #00123555) the same day, but haven't heard back yet.
I have to send out another (time sensitive) broadcast tomorrow to all members, but feel terrible doing so because I feel like I'm spamming my own members. I just know I'm going to get more complaints and inquiries as to why this is still happening and why I haven't fixed the problem yet. :0(
I sent out another broadcast to our members on Dec. 6 and received more complaints about this issue. I have another time-sensitive broadcast that I have to send out Dec. 11, and am really hoping the issued will be rectified by then so I don't have to field more complaints. :0(
I'm hoping someone can address this problem soon, as it still hasn't been resolved...even an update would be helpful!
Members have been complaining since Dec 1 that despite checking the "I don't want to receive emails from..." box on their email settings, they are still receiving my broadcast messages! I just did a test on my test site and this is still happening. :0(
Hi Laura, I just did a test on my test site right before posting my follow up message above. As of 5 minutes ago it still isn't working. I received a broadcast message despite checking the "I don't want to receive email messages from..." checkbox.
