Just a quick note to let you know that this afternoon we made a small update to the Aviary Extension. Now Network Creators and administrators have the option of using Aviary to edit member's profile photos. Administrators will only have this ability if you've selected to let them edit member content. We're sure you'll think of plenty of creative uses for this, including being able to fix badly cropped member profile photos.

Hey Chris,
That should be pretty easy to add.
Permalink Reply by Chris on August 30, 2011 at 5:28pm Thanks Phil. I've had another thought, might not be so easy. Could we use this to add medals, or other custom symbols to people profile photos? i.e. add a custom sticker that only NC's can apply? That would be very handy... So perhaps admins could be given a symbol, or the person with the most popular blog that week gets a gold scroll etc. etc. As I said, probably not so easy, but it would be useful.
Permalink Reply by Chris on August 30, 2011 at 5:38pm Sorry Phil - tried it on a new member's pic and it made it very jpeggy and blurry. Details here ref:00D8cCLt.5004GR2Jq:ref
Thanks Chris,
There would be a few obstacles to implementing the behavior you want with Aviary, but I understand the use case.
Permalink Reply by Chris on August 30, 2011 at 11:56pm I thought it might not be straightforward... It's not too difficult to do by downloading their pic and editing it in say photoshop; but then we have to send it to them and ask them to set it as their profile pic, as we can't edit member profiles yet. Much easier if we could just stamp them!
