Today we’re releasing the first round of updates to the way Pages work in your network. We know that Pages are an important way for many of you to add custom content to your network, and these changes are designed to increase the options you have for customization.
One longstanding request has been the ability to hide the sidebar on a Page and make use of the full width of the page. That will now be easy to do with a checkbox during page creation or editing.
We’ve also added the ability to restrict the visibility of individual Pages. On public networks, you can choose to make a Page available to everyone, signed in members, or administrators only. On private networks, you can make a Page available to members or administrators. If you’ve created a tab for the page, the privacy settings will be synchronized, so a change made to the privacy of a tab will also be applied to the page it links to and vice versa.
Here's a screenshot showing the new options:
We’ve got more changes coming to Pages, including the ability to manage the title tags and meta description of a Page manually for SEO, customization of urls, and direct access to add javascript, css and meta tags into the <head> tag, so stay tuned.

At the moment, it seems like you are not the only one having problems after the updates or the " so called improvements" on the Pages. We were all giving Kudos to Ning for making the improvements, but it seems that the improvements is causing more headaches and not giving the aid which an improvement suppose to give.
I have taken my time to go through all the threads here before my first thread, i have noticed that many people are having problems after the page improvement. Example1: "the translation is not correct on many Networks runing a different languages. So this is a big problem for poeple who are not runing their Networks in english.
Example2: Am still having the problem, that " i can no longer allow my members to comment on the contents of the new pages i created after the improvements" ( details on page 7 of this thread )
The Same problem applies to pages i made befor the improvements
I was adviced by Phil McCluskey to contact the Support for someone to investigate on that! I did since several days ago and up to now i have not gotten any reply. I am a Ning Pro user and as stated by Ning we suppose to get a reply within 24Hrs. Am still waiting and since I use the pages i create to write news about German & International Hip Hop News, i don't give s f..k about the security cos i want everybody to read the news and i want the opinion of my members about the News (very important) , I also dont give a sh.t about hiding the sidebar, cos pesonally the News i write look better with the sidebars on it. So this is like taking away the function which was there before, which is what i need and giving me damn things that i don't need. Now reading the thread from Izak which is ( Example3) ; The fact that he was sent from support to here and me from here to support and still not getting a solution is not a good news to me.
As much as i respect the fact that you guys have a lot to do, still i am asking why do you guys dish out updates/ improvement that is causing the NCs so much headaches. Improvements supposed to be a good thing but not when they are not properly tested and not working good for everybody.
You guys better do something and do it fast ( please ) 'cos we NCs show a lot of patience, but patience is a limited thing.
Kind regards

There's no need; those subheadings are only seen by the Network Creator, Admins and Page Moderators, so your member don't currently see them.
Thanks,
Phil
Permalink Reply by Tom on June 28, 2011 at 4:53pm Thanks, glad to see the Pages feature is on the work desk since I use it a lot.
Has the Pages feature been added to the list where we can decide which order the comments are displayed?
Hi Tom,
No. Would you want to set this on a per page basis, or for all pages?

Will there be the addition of a tables feature to use inside the Pages?
