Thanks for all your feedback regarding pagination. We have a new design that should address your primary concerns while maintaining speed across all Ning Networks.

Namely, this new design will call out the page number you are on, the total number of pages of content, and a Jump To page option. It will be implemented for all views of content other than comments on individual pieces of content. A mock of this is below:

Note, the final design could change from this but we wanted to show what we are working on!

The total page count will be approximate as we'll be optimizing that number with some caching. So, while there may actually be 203 pages of content, if the most recent number is cached at 202, that will display. Cache refreshes a couple times an hour.

This new design will be implemented this week and we'll post an update here as soon as we have a firm date and time for release.

Thank you!
Laura

I'm going to beg Ning to shift us to this pagination, its soooo important to us due to the amount of photos that get uploaded, content just gets lost, pleeeeeease?

e
Thanks. So it will work on blog sections as well? If an article is too long am I going to be able to add pages?
Hey all!

We know that you guys had been waiting quite a while for the new pagination, and our database looked good this week. So I'm happy to announce we've gone ahead and rolled out the new pagination across the entire Ning Platform!

Thanks again for your patience, and let me know if you see any issues.

High 5 bro.

So it will work on blog pages too?
Hey Hazrat,

It's live, so you can check it out on a blog on your Ning Network. But yes, it works!

Thanks Evan.
Thanks, Evan.

Stimpy has bugged me a few times about pagination, so I'm sure he's excited :)
Looks good!
