This release is scheduled for Thursday.

A quick note about a simple change to the footer of your social website.

It's been nearly six months since we completed the merger of Ning with Glam Media. As you might expect, since that time we've been steadily integrating the two organizations into one, incorporating the strengths of both. Most Network Creators probably haven't thought much about the merger since it was announced, but if you're one of the Network Creators who have applied to run Glam ads, you probably have noticed how well Glam's opt-in advertising solutions combine with Ning's social platform.

One of the last steps to integrating these two entities is to update the logo of the combined companies. This week, we'll be doing that on the Ning Platform by replacing the legacy logo image in the footer with a new logo image. The updated image isn't all that different from the old one. It combines the Glam and Ning logos together in one logo — without the Ning "burst" that appeared previously.

Here they are side by side, for comparision:

Old

New

This is a simple change, but we wanted to let you know about it ahead of time.

This is all I have to say

I'd say you do have an option because you don't have it set to appear on your site, Analiza.

Erick, here i dont understand what you are saying, i have 5 old networks and 2 new and on 2 new i dont see a way to remove NING from footer, all my accs are 'PRO' , so ?

i dont want to have NING on my new networks, therefor is there solution ?

Your issue is different, HELP SEEKER. This discussion I'm in right now is about an image change to the footer. You may want to read up here. Of course, you can always ask our support team by contacting them directly.

the only thing  i dont like about this who0le merger is theres no guranteee you will be able to run glam ads  so while some sites are raking in the big bucks others are left with pennies

if ning is beimg  absorbed by glam  why cant all nin g networks benifit from it equaly?

Those ads are for brands that want to appear in specific types of locations, on sites that have high traffic and meet specific demographics. A lot of high-quality brand advertising works this way. For example, a brand advertiser like Swarovski Crystal may not be interested in appearing on sites that are populated by DIY knitters. Likewise, DIY knitters may not want to see ads for expensive jewelry. But, Google ads may be perfect for this type of "long tail" advertising.

Dear Eric,

Thanks for information....

Dr. Sohiniben Shukla.

One of our Premium communities is a bit over 3000 members however we seem to have our hands tied. I am not interested in promoting ning and/or whoever they call them self this week. This is why we don't promote ning in footer. We pay for it and that's our real estate.

also, how about those creators, that work  on behalf of a clients, will the client want ning at their footer ? i gueess it is loss loss for ning

hate it but no choice, Ning is like family, now with Glam is like having strangers in the House! Anyhow am I correct in noting that the Landing Page option is now for Ning Pro ONLY???

If it is that is just so not cool!

Hey, Vashara. The splash page option uses the File Manager, which has always been a Pro-only feature.

One thing I don't understand is if you click either the Ning or the Glam links at the bottom of the network they both take you to Ning so why have the Glam there at all?
